Description
Developed as CharityViz, this jQuery plugin allows publishers to add a few lines of mark-up to their pages, indicating the IATI identifier of any project, and it will then create a contextual mouse-over and pop-up display of key project information.
The Random Hacks of Kindness development team describe it in the video below:
In detail
The widget draws upon linked IATI data from any SPARQL store, allowing it to be configured to search across a datastore containing all the data in the IATI universe, or to be configured only for a particular charity or donors data. The use of linked data, and a flexible template-based approach to queries and presentation means makes the plugin extremely customisable, and means additional third-party data relating to a project could also be included in the widgets.
